Joan Michelson,

Executive Producer and Host, Electric Ladies Podcast; Contributor, ForbesWomen

Joan Bryna Michelson, MBA is an expert on Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues who consults with companies and organizations on these issues. She is the host of the acclaimed Electric Ladies podcast about the intersection of innovation, energy, climate, sustainability and ESG, which features women experts. 

Joan is both a highly accomplished journalist and a former corporate executive in Fortune 100 companies, Chrysler, Deloitte and American Express. She writes for Forbes and has been published in the Harvard Business Review, HuffPost, Greenbiz, TheAtlantic.com, WTOP, The New Economy magazine (distributed at the World Economic Forum) and many other media outlets. Her work has also appeared on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” ABC News, and NBC specials and newsmagazine shows.

A dynamic public speaker, Joan has addressed a wide range of events and conferences, including: SXSW (Eco), The Newseum, the U.S. Defense Department, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Naval Academy, and many other corporate, professional and university events and conferences in the U.S. and around the world. She is especially proud of her great-great uncle, Albert Abraham Michelson, the first scientist from the U.S. to win the Nobel Prize (1907), and his sister Miriam Michelson, a prominent reporter of the same era who played a pivotal role in securing women the right to vote.
