Session Topics

1. Understanding Climate Change Risks and Opportunities

Are you adequately prepared and responding to changes in the regulatory landscape and the growing expectations and demands of all your stakeholders, from climate activists to climate migrants? How will climate change impact your businesses, supply chains, customers, employees, and the societies you operate in? This session will give an overview of the growing regulatory and societal demands, as well as science underpinning our current trajectory. It will also examine the pivotal role that the board, executives and finance providers must play to future-proof business models and mitigate risk, in line with planetary and societal boundaries.

This session will focus on the fast-evolving regulatory landscape. What climate policies should you anticipate in the future as many regulations and guidelines move from voluntary to mandatory climate disclosures? What impacts will it have on your business?

3. Managing Stakeholder Expectations for Climate Responsible Investment and Insurance

This session will focus on the implications of increasing investor pressures, financial and technological innovations, and their implications on your business and the planet (cost of capital, insurance premiums, etc.). How should you best prepare, engage, and respond to investors and insurers? What are the latest proxy voting trends and how are these becoming a material issue for investors?

4. Responsible Climate Governance: Ensuring Accountability at Board Level

Where do you start as a board member? What are the questions you would ask management on their approach towards climate exposure and net zero commitments? How do you ensure board oversight around TCFD + reporting and scenario analysis? How will the role of the board evolve in the next 1 – 5 – 10 years?

5. Strategic Implementation Guide: Helping Companies Achieve Net Zero

This session will feature detailed examples, common pitfalls to avoid and examine trade-offs that are often overlooked when implementing effective climate transition strategies. What are the most effective and credible mitigation, adaptation and draw-down approaches? How do you ensure all employees and suppliers are climate competent? How can you formulate meaningful net zero goals, targets, and strategies?

6. Learning from the Pioneers of Climate Change in Business

This session will feature experiences and lessons learned across a range of different industries and business functions. How to optimize resources and scale your innovation capabilities? How to collaborate / partner with competitors, suppliers and other external organisations?

Bonus live sessions: You can also take part in a monthly live online Q&A Forum with other self-guided participants hosted by Helle Bank Jorgensen, our Founder and CEO
