Martina Filipic,
Senior Program Manager, Competent Boards
Martina Filipic is a corporate sustainability professional committed to helping organizations understand the value of embedding ESG into their strategies. At Competent Boards, she leads program development and delivery. Highlights of her time with Competent Boards include working closely with global partners, faculty and alumni to deliver top-tier executive education and leading bespoke programming for external clients.
Prior to her role with Competent Boards, Martina held positions with the Recycling Council of Ontario (now Circular Innovation Council), Schneider Electric Canada, and Canada Green Building Council. These positions were heavily involved in resource recovery, cradle-to-cradle retrofits and public outreach projects.
Martina holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management, as well as a Bachelors in Economics and Environmental Science from the University of Toronto. She is passionate about the overlap of business and the environment, and aspires to further develop her career in this intersection of global environment, socio-political paradigms and global economic outcomes.
