Patricia Jurewicz,
Founder and CEO, Responsible Sourcing Network
Patricia Jurewicz is Founder and CEO of Responsible Sourcing Network (RSN), a for-benefit NGO that champions human rights in the mining and harvesting of raw materials found in products we use every day.
Patricia has contributed to the development of Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), KnowTheChain’s benchmarking reports, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector. RSN’s latest initiative is YESS: Yarn Ethically & Sustainably Sourced, which aims to eradicate forced labor from cotton production globally.
Since 2004, Patricia has worked with civil society and shareholder communities to address labor and human rights abuses. She writes and speaks extensively on the issues of modern slavery, benchmarking, traceability, and value chains. Patricia sits on ICCR’s Human Trafficking and Workers Rights Leadership Group, recently contributed to Better Cotton Initiative’s (BCI’s) Expert Task Force on Forced Labor and Decent Work, and is the co-founder of the Cotton Campaign.
Prior to RSN, Patricia managed vendor start-up and production at Gap, Inc., organized a fair-trade fashion show during the WTO Hong Kong Conference for the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, and she worked as a designer for women’s artisan cooperatives in Latin America. She has degrees from Fashion Institute of Technology, Cornell, and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
