R. Andreas Kraemer,
Director of Oceano Azul Foundation, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Agora Energiewende, and Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee of Ökovision Investment Fund
Andreas Kraemer is Director (Administrador) of the Oceano Azul Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Agora Energiewende in Berlin, Germany, and Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee of the investment fund (or mutual trust) Ökovision of OekoWorld Lux S.A. in Luxemburg with ca. 4 billion Euros in assets under management (end 2021). Andreas is best known as Founder & Director Emeritus after 20 years at the helm of Ecologic Institute in Berlin, Germany, and Chairman (pro bono) of Ecologic Institute US in Washington DC. In 2020, Ecologic Institute was voted Top Environment Policy Think Tank in the global think-tank ranking of the University of Pennsylvania.
Andreas Kraemer teaches European integration and environmental policy as Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science and Adjunct Professor of German Studies in the Duke in Berlin Program of Duke University, and climate strategies for business and investors as Adjunct Faculty at the EADA Business School. He is also Senior Fellow of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), and Initiator and Convenor of the Arctic Summer College. Andreas serves on a number of advisory boards, including The Arctic Institute and the Practice Board for the Master Course on “Strategic Sustainability Management” at the University of Applied Sciences in Eberswalde (HNE Eberswalde).
