Gerry Tidd,

Executive Vice President, Corporate, BlueScope and Founding Director, Manufacturing Australia

Gerry Tidd has been advising the C-suite and Boards of publicly listed domestic and international companies for 25 years.

He has provided public policy, strategy and stakeholder management advice to clients and employers across the IT&T, property, education, media, bio/technology and manufacturing sectors.

He has worked extensively in the United States and Asia Pacific economies, dealing with national governments and the diplomatic services on trade and investment issues.

He has worked as an entrepreneur in the SME sector, having established, built and then sold his own independent consulting businesses.

He is the founding director of Manufacturing Australia, the independent peak lobby group representing 10 of Australia’s largest manufacturing companies. And he is the Co-Chair of ResponsibleSteel, the global steel sustainability standards body.

He holds an MBA in International Management, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Gerry Tidd is currently Executive Vice President, Corporate, for BlueScope, Australia’s largest steel manufacturer, which he joined in 2006.

He is responsible for global external affairs – charged with protecting and enhancing the Company’s corporate reputation and commercial interests, developing public policy and directing stakeholder engagement across 17 countries.
